Southampton SDA Church is a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South of England. We seek to be a spiritual home for the young and old as we discover the joy of life in Jesus Christ. You are invited to join our church family this Saturday at either 257 Shirley Road (Shirley) or the Townhill Community Centre (West End). Venezula Earthquake ADRA Appeal
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is on the ground in Venezuela providing humanitarian support after a powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck the country on 24 June 24 at 6:05 p.m. local time. The earthquake affected some of the country’s most populated areas, including Carabobo and Yaracuy, with millions of people experiencing strong to severe shaking.
ADRA Venezuela is working alongside local authorities, OCHA, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church network to assess the situation and identify the communities with the greatest needs. Initial assessments indicate urgent needs for food, safe water, hygiene supplies, emergency shelter, and medical assistance.
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is an independent Christian humanitarian agency. Following the ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church it was established for the specific purposes of individual and community development and disaster relief. ADRA fulfils this primary directive of its charter without regard to race, gender, and political or religious affiliation.
